COMMENTS: This may not be the correct forum, however, I am trying to obtain some information on my g-g-g-grandfather, Ezra Cole, who lived in Marion, Waushara County, Wisconsin from 1849 until his death between 1860 and 1870. Some family notes that have been handed down indicate that his brother Philip, aged 16, passed away in May, 1804 in LeRay, Jefferson County, New York. The notes go on to say that Ezra "received his first serious impression at the death of his brother...who warned him not to do as he had done, this impression he never lost... He experienced religion soon after and was baptized by Elder Penfield, Methodist Episcopal Minister and joined the ME Church in the summer of 1832..After moving to Wisconsin in 1849 he remained a member of the ME Church until June 1858, then united with the Free Will Baptist Church". I am trying to determine when and where Ezra died and was buried. He was born on July 14, 1790 in Williamstown, Berkshire County, Massachusetts. I ordered a search of Wisconsin death records prior to 1907 and the search came up empty. Someone else then pointed out that it was not a legal requirement to report a death until about 1900. Would your Church have any record of his death? He was married to Ione (Vanlora Stratton) Cole who passed away on October 1, 1894 in Marion at the home of John Leach, a close family friend). I am also very curious to know what young Philip did that was so bad!!. Any ideas on how I might be able to determine this? I know all of this is a shot in the dark but I'm open to just about anything at this stage!

COMMENTS: This is a great website. We live in a very small town in E. Oregon & there isn't a FWB church anywhere near us. We attend a conservative Baptist church. I attended Hillsdale in '88-'89 & would like to hear from those who attended with me. I really miss the contact with other "FWBs". My father was a pastor at Westgate FWB Church in Shawnee, OK. Thanks for having a website that can connect people together. God Bless your ministry & all that you do, Chuck.

I use The Sixth Chapter of Ephesians too show teens about putting on "The Whole Armor of God", in-order to face life's problems head-on and combat the violence they face at home and in school. If you are interested in having me present this program at your church or would like further information about it, please feel free to contact me via Email or call- (918)343-6032/361-6032. God has inspired this message within me for a reason and I desire too reach The Nation's Youth it! May we all learn to listen to our kids and give them hope for the future!(Jesus Alone, IS THAT HOPE!!).

February 8, 2000 we had a very bad trafffic tragedy. It was the worst known wreck in the history of our County with seven vehicles involved and four dead (age from 16 to their 60's) and several others in various hospitals in critical condition. Please, help us Pray. Our County really needs the Lord. If you would like, please, email us and let us know that you are agreeing with us in Prayer for this urgent need and the needs of our County. Bishop Randall M. Sheppard <rsheppar@indygov.org>
POSITION: Pastor,
Indianapolis, IN (USA) - Thursday, January 06, 2000
COMMENTS: Greetings my dear friends in the precious name of JESUS. I am pastor of Guiding Light Church Assembly, Inc., a Free Will Baptist Church of the Western Division General Conference. I assumed the pastorate of this congregation in January of '99 with just three members. As of current, the Lord has blessed us with approximately 40+ members. For this we are grateful. At this time, we stand in need of your prayers and support. The city of Indianapolis is purchasing the property of our place of worship. To our dismay, we do not own the facilities. Nor do we have sufficient funds to purchase other facilities at this time. God, however, has been blessing. In less that 2 months, without having any fundraisers or havings any additional special services, the Lord has aloud us to raise better than $5,0000.00 above our regular tithes and offerings toward our building fund. At this time, our main request from you, the reader, our brothers and sisters, are your prayers that God will open doors of opportunity for our congregation that we might find appropriate and suitable facilities for continued worship. If you would like to sow a financial "SEED of FAITH" into the fertile ground of our ministry, that would be appreciated as well. Checks and/or money orders may be made out to: "Guiding Light Church Assembly, 2130 Bellis Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46218." Even if you choose not to send a "SEED OFFERING," just to receive a communication from you "touching and agreeing" in faith for our breakthrough will be appreciated. I'm also convinced, that one cannot sow such a seed without reaping a "harvest of blessings." For the scripture says, "...He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully...for GOD loveth a cheerful giver" (2 Corinthians 9:6-7. However, even if you choose not to sow a financial seed, your prayers and support are still needed. May GOD bless you and yours until the next time.
